What We Built Together This Year
2025 has been a year of highs and lows. A year that asks us to pause and reflect with intention. In politically charged and socially unjust times, looking back at what we have done can give us the energy and courage to move forward. Because if we only focus on our losses, we start to expect more losses ahead. So with a challenging year behind us, here is what we accomplished together.
We partnered with incredible leaders dedicated to humanizing their workplaces by improving relationships with colleagues and co-workers, meeting the complex needs of those they serve, and interrogating the role race, culture, and power play in everyone’s lived experience.
We helped teams repair strained and painful relationships by inviting leaders to grow in their relational leadership through owning impact, taking accountability, and leaning into conflict.
We facilitated anti-racist change by leading affinity spaces that explored how white supremacy harms our shared humanity and limits our potential to connect with one another.
We encouraged leaders to lean into critical reflection and assessed entire organizational cultures to identify behaviors that facilitated or undermined equity and inclusivity.
We worked alongside leaders who care deeply about their staff's emotional and relational experiences. Holding space for organizational leaders committed to turning the mirror inward and investing in their own growth first, modeling the expectations they have for their teams.
We supported mental health professionals in improving how they assess the families and patients they serve by refining how they address issues of race, culture, and power.
We helped school leaders design and implement systemic change that centered social justice and educational equity at every level of their community.
We facilitated retreats where faculty members explored the implications of race and racism for their students and for their colleagues.
We worked with the next generation of physicians, helping them integrate a race and culture lens into clinical practice in a way that deepens trust and healing for patients.
We launched our newsletter, which has allowed us to stay connected with you and meet so many new people. Thank you for being part of this community.
Thank you to every person and organization, no matter where you are on your journey, whether you are new to partnering with us or have been with us since we began five years ago. Choosing to grow as a leader who centers the humanity of others requires intention, humility, and a willingness to challenge familiar norms, especially when society often encourages the opposite. We are grateful to those who chose to partner with us this year and to those who trusted us to walk alongside them. As one of Christina’s favorite proverbs reminds us, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” Thank you for choosing to go far with us.
