Structured Dialogues for Mental Health Professionals

Structured Dialogues is a transformative anti-racism program for mental health professionals designed to spark sustainable change through small-group, facilitated conversations. Using a racial identity framework and curated content from books, articles, and media, we help participants reflect, analyze, and take action with clients, colleagues, and within their organizations.

Our process fosters trust, psychological safety, and authentic relationships while equipping individuals—and their workplaces or communities—with the tools to think and act as anti-racists.

Meeting Times and Structure:

  • 90-minute meetings

  • 8-week course, meeting weekly via Zoom

  • Approximately 8 – 10 people per group

  • 60 minutes of reading/content engagement (e.g., book chapters, videos, podcasts, etc.) and 10-15 minutes of reflective journaling designed to deepen one’s thinking on the text between meetings

  • Dates: March 13, 20, 27, April 3, 10, 17, 24, and May 1

  • Times: 4:00 - 5:30p est/ 1:00 - 2:30p pst

We are currently offering a group for mental health providers.

  • This program has been approved for 12 Social Work Continuing Education hours for relicensure, in accordance with 258 CMR. NASW-MA Chapter CE Approving Program, Authorization Number D 91956.

  • This program has been approved for 12 Continuing Education credits for Psychologists. MPA is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. MPA maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
